Carbona Capital, a Florida corporation founded in 1998 by CEO John A. Carbona, primarily focuses on early “Angel Stage” investments in privately owned entities. He formed Carbona Capital after a successful career as a manufacturer and distributor of high-tech specialty hospital beds designed to prevent pressure ulcers. Based in Dallas, TX, Cardio Systems operated 90 domestic and international offices. John held or co-held six patents and 21 trademarks. He sold Cardio Systems to a private equity firm in 1998.
